Relationship help please!?

Chuck has a long history with Mary. Chuck and Mary still love each other. Chuck has trouble dealing with fact that Mary lives far away and has slept around, so Chuck finds an excuse to push Mary away by ignoring her or saying mean things. Mary continues to come back after several times of being pushed away harshly. Chuck pushed away again only not as harsh this time and Mary is now ignoring Chuck. What should Chuck do if he wants her back, and also more importantly, to get her to talk to Chuck again?
