Why do people dislike fast cars, saying only immature people with something to prove buy them?

For the very same reason us men feel a 400 dollar Dooney and Burk purse for a female is a waste of money. The world is made up of all sorts of people with plenty of room for us all as long as we respect each other and each individuals wants and desires and understand that what ever it may be to a person, that persons hobbies and wants and desires are just as important as the next persons. I love fast cars and spend more than I should on them. My wife loves Donney and Burk purses. I keep my opinions about her purse collection to my self as she does my cars I have been married for 39 years. Do I know what i`m talking about?
