Is that a door by the ancient mosaic ruins in virtual villagers 2?

I always p by it and wonder if its a door that can be opened. I am playing on normal, if that makes a difference, have completed all the puzzles and was wondering if that's the end or does that door - if that's what it is - will continue the game.
