Crazy cat, pls help!?

my cat has always been very agressive towards others, but never towards me. this spring she has started hissing and scratching if touched. i went to visit my family for a month and 1/2 and half and jus came back 2day. when i returned she rubbed against my leg and then sat on me purring. Then, a little while later when i ped by her she started meowing like i've never heard her and when kneeled on the floor and called her, she ran towards me and scratched my face including right underneath my eye which as a result is all swollen. as soon as she sees me she runs after me and ferousciously scratches me. i have to walk aound the house w/a broom to scare her. what can i do? i can't even take her to the vet because there's no way to pick her up! im worried that my mom will throw her out considering she's already not very fond of cats.
