Do believe that there can be, or is, other life in the Universe?

My dad is from Texas and I think a lot like him, i don't believe those people who say, " I saw an alien" those people have to show me. I want to believe there are other life forms in space. If there isn't God wasted a lot of space, but only to put the human race in the entire universe.
